A Legal Crystal Ball
For all of the talk surrounding AI it has not made a noticeable difference in our lives just yet. The average person the street might have played around with ChatGPT but they are likely not relying on it to get through their day-to-day tasks.
Revolutions actually take some time. The Internet may have entered mainstream consciousness in the 90s but it was several years before it became common in homes and even then its use was limited by things like cost and bandwidth.
The same is true of AI. So far we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg but it would not be surprising to see it have a dramatic effect on the way we interact with the world a few years down the line.
That is the same in the legal world as well. For the time being lawyers are merely dipping their toes in the water. The tools that they use might have smart-search functionality but that is probably as deep as it gets.
This presents a gap in the market and there will be lots of innovators looking to make their fortune and help legal minds out along the way.
