Are the Latest Letby Arrests a Distraction Technique?
The Lucy Letby case took another turn this week when it was reported that three former senior managers at the Countess of Chester Hospital (Letby’s former workplace) had been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
Today, the police submitted a “full file of evidence” to prosecutors for them to consider pressing charges.
On the surface, this appears like a positive step in the campaign to prove Letby’s innocence and have her acquitted by the courts.
The arrests read like an acknowledgement that it was actually poor management at the hospital that caused the deaths of so many young babies, but in fact they may end up hindering any innocence campaign.
