The P&O Ferries scandal rolled on after the company fired 800 employees and replaced them with agency workers. Link.
During proceedings for the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, the House of Lords opposed efforts by the government to clampdown on protests considered to be ‘too noisy’. Link.
Meanwhile the Lords (and several Conservative MPs) also opposed government proposals within the Nationality and Borders Bill for an offshore processing system for asylum seekers. Link.
