Who needs solicitors anyway?
In one famous episode of the Simpsons Lionel Hutz shudders as he imagines a world without lawyers.
When we peer into his thought bubble we see that the sun is shining and everyone is holding hands as they frolic in a field.
It is a sad fact that the legal profession is perceived as being, at best, a necessary evil given that the vast majority of lawyers do want to help people and provide an enormous public good.
Unlike those in the insurance industry...those bloodsuckers.
People get insurance because they want some level of financial security if things go wrong but when it comes to the time to pay up insurers are often tight-fisted and unsympathetic.
This week's episode of the podcast pits insurers against lawyers after one insurer found a loophole and tried to skimp on solicitors fees when it came to a payout.
Who won?
Well you'll have to tune in to find out.
